Hi there!! ๐Ÿ–

Iโ€™m Peter โ€“ welcome to my home on the internet, in perpetual refurbishment.

What Iโ€™m working on

  1. ๐Ÿ’ผ Strategy and Management Consultanting in London, UK. 5+ years of end-to-end experience, from origination to global deployments. First Class in Business Administration with Honours from the University of Bath โ€“ sleepless nights, Dominos pizzas, fun times.
  2. ๐Ÿฉบ Digital Transformation and complex programme delivery, with total exposure upwards of ยฃ500million in some cases. Successful track record for both Agile and Waterfall engagements โ€“ I always get enthusiastic about technology, change and applied human ingenuity.
  3. ๐Ÿ“ Solution Designer, from back-end systems to UIs and app journeys. I rely heavily on user-centred design, FORM and Design Thinking โ€“ it gives me immense pleasure to put out there experiences that delight users!!
  4. โ›… Cloud Architect, experienced and certified on GCP. Was part of business assessments, pilots, data and application migrations, as well as cloud optimisations.
  5. ๐Ÿค“ I study data science and Iโ€™m particularly enamoured with data storytelling.
  6. ๐ŸŽ’ Founded and still run (light-touch) an education charity. We work exclusively through volunteers and donโ€™t rely on financial donations (even our accountant is a volunteer!).
  7. โœ On this website, I write articles about my personal projects, consulting, transformation, productivity, education, learning, entrepreneurship, storytelling and things Iโ€™ve found particularly beautiful/ useful over the years. All views are, obviously, my own.

Side projects and interests

  1. Learnt to code in high-school using C++. I still love the simplicity of it and will sometimes use code (albeit R/ Python nowadays) to rapidly prototype ideas and accelerate my work or for random weekend side projects.
  2. Studied architecture for a couple of years. That sensitivity towards elegance, harmony and balance in composition translates well into UX design and executive messaging (albeit, PowerPoint feels often like a downgrade from AutoCAD!)
  3. Studied piano for a couple of years. I enjoy the instrument but Iโ€™m still nowhere close to advanced enough to feel I can share with you my progress โ€“ if you have any top tips or courses to speed up my learning, please do let me know!!
  4. Passionate about epigenetics and any research in ageing. Avid subscriber to blue zones habits, IF, hot/ cold exposure, as well as pretty much anything that lowers inflammation and impacts the methylation patterns.
  5. Photography and design enthusiast. Mainly interested in street and ethnographic photography (which is a branch of anthropology that deals with capturing cultures, spaces and rituals).
  6. Tinkering is in my blood โ€“ I enjoy product design, 3D printing and prototyping, electronics, engineering, woodworking and horology. Thereโ€™s a special feeling in making a physical product that solves a real world problem (even when itโ€™s just for an audience of one!)
  7. Would love to get more into entrepreneurship and startups โ€“ if youโ€™re working on something interesting, Iโ€™d love to hear about it.
